The day before surgery, patients must avoid eating and drinking after a time specified by Dr. Caceres. The day of the breast enhancement procedure, patients must wear a comfortable, loose-fitting top and avoid applying makeup and skincare products.
What Does Breast Augmentation Involve Step-by-Step?
Breast augmentation surgery is performed using the following steps:
- Anesthesia (usually general anesthesia) is administered.
- Incisions are strategically placed to minimize visible scarring, commonly in locations like the inframammary fold (beneath the breast), around the areola, or in the armpit.
- A pocket is created in the tissues of the chest to house the implant.
